- The Sticky Critters
This was by far the most touching of all three. A lady I had been seeing for one-on-one sessions had really been struggling with the death of her dad among other childhood traumas. Once we’d started working together the heaviness got seemingly compounded as it does when we start dealing with the trauma beneath the surface. I knew she had to go through it, see it, sit with it and accept it before it would be released. But after our first Reiki session together I felt a darkness that seemed not to be her own.
We tried different meditation techniques, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), other forms of releasing this energy but it was not letting up. In fact, it seemed to gain a stronger hold from all our resistance. So, I suggested we do another Reiki session as I had found my abilities strengthening since the first one.
I worked my way down each of her chakras and as I got to her Throat Chakra, the one we struggled with most, there it was. First, I saw the image of a female anime character. I knew it didn’t belong there so I asked it to leave. It wouldn’t. I focused my intention more deeply as I asked more firmly and it only seemed to get angrier. It started to show itself as sharp, jaggered monster teeth snapping at me. I didn’t back down. I turned to a few of the ascended masters as well as the angels I had asked to be present during the session, for help. We all stood hands on this area, me with a growing anger to remove it.
I soon realized the anger was not going to work and was likely feeding it. So, I changed my approach. I gave it two options, to stay and be transmuted into love, polarized to the path to serve others and as such help us to heal the world, or to leave and continue on the self-serving path elsewhere. It resisted initially but as the love of myself, the masters and the angels surrounded it, it eventually gave up and left, leaving what felt like a gap in the chakra that I spent the next few minutes healing.
I worked my way further down and found another couple of sticky critters in the Solar Plexus Chakra. This time I went straight to asking the ascended masters and angels to join me as we gave it the same two choices and began booming love in its direction. It left much more quickly, and I spent some time again, healing the area.
After the session, I noticed a genuine light-hearted smile on the face of my client as she sat up. I hadn’t seen or felt her energy this way since our sessions had first begun. I knew immediately that it had worked.
When I asked her about it she said that she was taken into the memory of the day her dad passed away but that something very strange had happened. She went on to explain that she had been yanked by the ankle out of that memory and that it was as if it had never happened.
Honestly writing about these experiences seems almost insane. I laugh as I reflect on the words in these three posts. It almost seems like some sort of Harry Potter slash Charmed slash Supernatural mash up. If someone had told me these stories before I started down this path I would honestly think they had lost their marbles! Yet here I am writing about my magical life and how my awakening is helping other people release the energetic holds over their lives.
I have believed this right from the beginning and I continue to stand by it. When we heal ourselves we are not ONLY healing ourselves. By default, we heal our ancestral traumas as they stop by us. We heal our family members as that love begins to pour out onto them. We heal the world one person at a time just by being who we are, by listening to our inner voice, and by practicing the calling of our highest selves.
The individual healing journey is the only journey that will ever save humanity.
If you want to heal the world, start by healing yourself.
