- The Key Code Game
I did a session on a client who is at the early stages of his spiritual awakening. He’d been so confused about what to do next and what this all means and somehow, reiki brought him some sort of peace. So, we did sessions quite regularly.
It was during one particularly session that we discovered the game in his journey. As I moved down each of his chakras, I began to see shapes like tetris blocks, a key hole with light shining through from the other side, and Japanese looking symbols randomly popping up. I had never seen symbols during a session before and the symbols were so clear I had to draw them before losing sight of them. There were two that appeared.
After the session, I asked him if the symbols meant anything to him. He said they didn’t but that he had seen a wooden like structure with six symbols on it. The only trouble was that he couldn’t see what the symbols were because they were glowing. He also said that he had seen a Japanese looking monk in orange clothes who called him and told him to “come” with him.
I was intrigued by this so I showed him an image of Master Mikao Usui (the monk who rediscovered reiki) and asked if the man looked like him. Eventually he found an image from the same angel in the same attire, that with some uncertainty, claimed to be who he saw, but without hair.
I then suggested that he search for Japanese Energy Symbols and follow what he felt drawn to, as one of the symbols looked like one that I use during my sessions, only, it was missing a stroke. I figured that even when the conscious mind is unable to clearly perceive information, the subconscious and unconscious mind pick everything up.
As he searched he felt drawn to the five Chinese Elements or the Wu Xing which happened to hold the element of wood which was the initial symbol that I’d drawn (bearing in mind I had never seen the symbol of wood drawn before), even though it was very similar to one of the symbols studied in Reiki.
Backtracking to a few weeks earlier, he had shared with me that while meditating, his body began spontaneously moving in this slow, flowy way. I asked him to show me and as he did, it looked very much like Qi Gong (an ancient Chinese method of moving energy in and around the body). So, I suggested he look for something for beginners on YouTube and give it a try.
Fast forwarding to after our reiki session, he visited a shaman a few days later and she told him that he needed to learn Tai Chi (which is very similar to Qi Gong but has different intentions).
The Final Piece of the Puzzle
As he had heard from both the shaman and myself that he should consider learning one of these forms of energy work, he decided to search for a studio nearby.
He found numerous studios until something brought him to the webpage of the final one. As he opened it, there was the image of the Wu Xing! Front and centre.
This studio eventually lead to a Qi Gong meditation experience that revealed deeper knowledge to him about his journey.
I guess all that’s left now is to discover the what the other five symbols were. Maybe this is the first key to unlocking the door to his liberation.
Reiki continues to get more and more fascinating.
